Breathable membranes have been used in the building industry for many years. In pitched roof constructions, breathable membranes offer solid benefits, such as: reduced heat loss, ventilation, vapor transfer by preventing liquid penetration and moisture dispersion, and adequately limits the risk of condensation in the roof. The particular membranes produced by Atex comprises of spunbonded polypropylene on either side of micro-porous microfibers.
Typical applications include: house wraps, roofing underlayment, basement moisture control, and insulations.
